Hi everybody.

My french is not strong enough to write this post, so I have to use english. I don't know if english is OK in this forum, so I'll do it short and seet.

I have just installed K!TV in this system:

PIV@2.6GHZ / 800MHz FSB / 512KB, Intel PERL moherboard, 512MB RAM, Windows XP Pro SP1, GeForce 2MX 32MB, Hauppauge WinTV PCI with latest Hauppauge drivers. TV in this country here is PAL B.

For starters, KIR always crashes on bootup. Then, inside K!TV, picture is OK, but I loose frequently the audio simply after tweaking any color/contrast/etc setting. After the audio stops, I try the hauppauge software and the audio is also gone. I try all I can think of inside K!TV (switching drivers, audio source...), but without any success. I check sound card settings, cable coneections, etc... and everything is OK. I have to restart the PC to get audio back. This happens very often. Other TV applications I've tried never loose audio. The sound card works ok, so the problem is the TV card not outputting audio.

Also, K!T hangs quite frequently. It is the kind of hang in which you can kill the GUI, but the process remains, and can't be killed (at least, not with the task manager). I have to restart the computer to get rid of the process. The TV card can't be used if the frozen process ins.

Summary: I can't use K!TV on my system, even though I think it's a very useful piece of software.

Can anybody help me, or point out where I can read the workaround / fix for this issues?
