First, excuse me for not speaking french, i'm spanish

I can't run k!tv (dsdrv driver) on a xp box if logged as a limited user. I can only if logged as administrator. The bizarre thing is that I could run prior versions of k!tv with no problems.

Furthermore, I found another problem. Since I installed the new version of k!tv I can't run any program using dsdrv driver if logged as a limited user: dScaler 4.1.8, btSpy, k!tv < 2.0, etc..

Please, helpe me, because I need run my tv programs as a limited user, due to security issues.

Give this a try :
1) give your limited user the right to install drivers (or give him temporary admin rights or power user rights)

2) launch K!Tv (that should works OK)

3) give back its rights to your user

4) try K!Tv (that should works OK)

If not come back here and let us know wink

The other way to do this is, being logged on with a limited user account, to execute once K!Tv ith admin rights (it's an option in the shortcut if I remember well) and after this you should be able to launch without these rights.

first of all, thank you very much for the great software. Realy nice proggie.

So, I've the same problem as bobreg. K!TV seems not to work when I'm logged as limited user. So I've allready tried both solutions.

The second one works fine for me, but... I need to enter the admin password every time I start the software. That's not cool schtroumpf

Any idea, why XP doesn't save the password. Is there any possibility to start K!TV with parameters. For example prog.exe -admin_account -password?

The second question. I've realized that the software starts sometimes in window mode without video. I can hear the audio. When I switch to full screen mode everything is OK. What's the problem?

But the software is still running with black screen in window mode under limited user. In full screen mode everything is OK.
There are no such problem when I'm logged in as admin.
Any ideas?
