I installed KTV on my computer, having an old Hauppage TV hw and a Radeon AGP 9600.
KTV gives me the message "No overlay detected...".
Now, in settings of Radeon I've nothing about overlay neither have I nothing similar in Hauppauge settings.

Anyway my need is to verify the possibility to record subtitles from teletext togheter to record movie with subtitles on cd/dvd for deaf people. I'm helping an association to find a good solution based on multimedia pc and, on digital tv, we already found good solutions. Being the analog tv more important in Italy, we have to solve also this kind of problem. I found in one forum that KTV can do this task... Is anyone of you reading this post aware of how register subtitles togheter with movie on a standard movie file? Using wich hardware?

Hello,

sorry but you can't record subtitles with k!tv

About your overlay problem, you have turn off all applications using the overlay before opening K!tv ( a movie player, webcam...)
