Bonjour à tous et merci pour cette doc !
J'ai une carte ATI Radeon 9250 180 Mo (9200 Pro RV280) ... et j'ai installé les drivers propriétaires fglrx d'ATI et tout s'est bien passé mais à partir de ce moment-là, je ne peux pas par exemple avoir un fullscreen de 1024 X 768 (mais juste de 800 X 600 sur un écran de 17") sous xdtv et aussi j'ai un gros problème sous mythtv où le son se coupe et l'image de mauvaise qualité et pas fluide !
Donc, j'ai l'intention de le désinstaller ... que me conseilleriez-vous ?

J'ai fini par installer le driver libre ATI Radeon ... ce qui a résolu ces problèmes ! |

C'est clair que le driver proprio n'est pas parfait en 2D
Cependant le fait de désactiver le support du DGA permet de gagner pas mal en stabilité.
Sinon le problème peut aussi venir du support XVideo (voir les infos données par xvinfo)
Ceci dit, quand l'image est bloquée en 768x576, c'est souvent qu'on est en overlay... il suffit de passer en grabdisplay pour améliorer le résultat. |

En fait, sous xdtv, il est automatiquement sur "grabdisplay" sinon pas d'image du tout ...

Tu as un support des extensions xvideo, là 
Pour les pilotes proprios, le gros gain est dans la 3D ... et peut-être dans la gestion du multi-écran?? Sinon je suis sceptique quand à son intérêt. |

C'est ton xvinfo qui dit que tu as un port pour le xvideo
Sinon ton fichier xorg.conf n'est pas celui généré par la procédure d'install des drivers proprios ... Il manque, entre autres, la désactivation des extensions DGA
Ceci dit, si tu n'as pas besoin de 3D, garde tes drivers libres |

D'accord ! ... j'ai pris ta phrase dans la tournure d'une question et donc je me suis dit que tu demande quelque chose que xvinfo ne donne pas ...

Oui j'ustement ... c'est pour avoir DGA entre autre que j'ai désinstallé les drivers propriétaire fglrx d'ATI et j'ai installé à la place le driver libre ATI Radeon ... et c'est ça qui donne ce fichier xorg.conf. |

J'ai toujours eu des problemes quant au fonctionnement de mes drivers et je n'arrivait pas a voir d'ou ca venait. Maintenant je vois que xvinfo ne donne rien, c'est deja un debut!
Je resume la situation:
X600 pro, Ubuntu Breezy, drivers 8.16.20, Xorg 6.8.2
Je dois desactiver les xv en lancant xdtv (-noxv), sinon l'image rame, mais du coup le plein ecran est en 768x576 (ce qui n'est pas le cas sans -noxv).
L'acceleration fonctionne, j'arrive a jouer a Enemy Territory.
Donc j'aimerai savoir comment avez vous paramétré vos xorg.conf s'ils fonctionne comme il faut au niveau de l'image, et qu'avez vous choisis comme sink et source video dans le selecteur de systemes multimedia.

Je vous colle aussi un bout de mon lspci:
